The flag of Jamaica was adopted on August 6, 1962 which was the original Jamaican Independence Day. It consisted of the colours green, which symbolises the nations agricultural richness and fertile future, the color gold which represents the sunlight and the nations natural wealth and the color black which symbolises the strength and creativity of the Jamaican people.
