Detailed Description
Specifications

The original Royal Canadian Army Corps flag was based on a design it shared with the British. It consisted of a Union Jack in the canton with St. Edward’s Crown above a vein filled maple leaf imposed over gold swords crossed in the field. In 1968, Parliament ordered the unification of Canada’s Naval, Land and Air Forces into the Canadian Forces. To display unity, the maple leaf was updated to three connected maple leaves. The Canadian flag replaced the Union flag in the canton. This design would remain intact for 30 years until a new flag based on the past was introduced in 1998.

The Canadian Forces Land Forces Command ensign was officially adopted on April 20, 1998. Also known as the Canadian Mobile or Army Camp flag, it consists of a white field, with the National Flag of Canada in the canton. In the fly, there are two crossed swords superimposed by a red maple leaf. Unlike the national symbol, the maple leaf is more natural in form with gold veins feeding its corners. Known as the Canadian Land Forces Badge, it now reflects a Canadian identity, but restores the proud history of the old Royal Canadian Army Corps days.

Flag Measures 4 in x 6 in and is 100% polyester.Plastic spear handle.
