Manitoba Flag - MB SKU: CMB35P
Manitoba is the 5th province to join Canadian Confederation. In the Assiniboine language, it is "Mini Tobow" meaning Lake of the Prairie and in Cree, it is "Manitou Bou" for the place of the Great Spirit. The official flag of the Province is the Red Ensign, which bears the Union Jack in the upper left corner on a red background. The Provinces shield as approved by His Majesty King Edward VII is on the right side of the flag. The shield bears the Cross of St. George above a green background and a bison representing the many who roamed the province before settlers. This flag was given royal approval by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in October 1965, and officially proclaimed on May 12, 1966. Flag Measures 36 in x 60 in and is 100% polyester with grommets for easy flying.
