Pakistan Flag - Islamic Republic of SKU: PAK35P
The national flag of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan was conceived by Syed Amir-uddin Kedwaii, who based his design on the original flag of the Muslim League a political party within British India. The Muslim League fought towards the creation of an independent India and Muslim Pakistan. The flag was adopted by the Constituent Assembly on August 11, 1947, a few days before the British Crown granted independence. The Pakistani flag is referred to in the national anthem as Parcham-e-Sit?ra-o-Hil?l which translated from Urdu means the flag of the crescent and star. The flag consists of a dark green field, representing the Muslim majority within Pakistan, with a vertical white stripe in the hoist, representing other religious minorities. Centered in the field is a white crescent moon, representing progress, and a white five-point star, representing light and knowledge. Flag Measures 36 in x 60 in and is 100% polyester with grommets for easy flying.
